Contrada Feudo di Mezzo

One hectare of rare beauty, immersed in the most authentic Etnean farming tradition, where Nerello Mascalese takes center stage, accompanied by a small yet significant presence of white grape varieties. Among them, Minnella stands out, also recognizable by its larger bush vine compared to Mascalese. The vineyard unfolds across around ten terraces and is composed of 90% old vines, some of them still ungrafted (own-rooted), a precious testament to an authentic and resilient agricultural heritage. Within the estate there are also centuries-old olive trees, which contribute to defining the traditional agricultural landscape of Mount Etna. The site is further distinguished by extraordinary natural features: ancient lava flow caves run beneath the ground, and the terraces themselves were built directly upon their walls, in perfect balance between human craftsmanship and the power of nature. Located in a well-ventilated valley floor area, the vineyard benefits from a deep soil that promotes complete and harmonious grape ripening. The wines produced here are distinguished by their softness and silky finesse, expressing an elegance and persistence capable of evoking the great profiles of French wines.
