It is the beating heart and the estate headquarters of Restivo Wine, as well as the place where the company’s story began: in 2018, with the purchase of the first hectares of vineyard and the ambition to create a hospitality project.
The property extends across 19 hectares, of which 10.3 hectares are under vine, where Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Carricante and Catarratto grow side by side. The vineyard lies between 620 and 670 meters above sea level on an ancient, friable lava flow.
Arcurìa is a living rural mosaic, a true “village among the vineyards” where rows of vines, olive trees, almond trees and the estate resort coexist in harmony. This contrada rests on geologically recent lava flows, characterized by stony soils with a high concentration of rocks and stones. This composition gives the wines character, depth and a distinctive vibrancy, the hallmark of the contrada.
It is a privileged site, capable of ensuring optimal ripeness in cooler vintages while preserving a vibrant acidic tension during the hottest summers.
