Contrada Allegracore

The harmony of the hidden enclosure: elegance, biodiversity and volcanic bubbles

Located near the Alcantara River, at approximately 750 meters above sea level, Contrada Allegracore represents one of the estate’s most fascinating ventures. This vineyard garden preserves a unique microclimate, where rural heritage intertwines with biodiversity and the winery’s sparkling wine vision.

The property extends over four hectares, of which 3.6 hectares are planted with vines. The entire plot is enclosed by ancient dry-stone walls that define its boundaries and preserve its natural balance, creating an additional estate clos. During the recent restoration project, a majestic centuries-old oak tree dominating the vineyard was deliberately preserved: not only a striking landscape feature, but also a tangible symbol of biodiversity to be protected and passed on.

Trained entirely on a vertical trellis system, the vineyard is crossed by an internal road that neatly separates the two cultivated varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The grapes harvested here are intended for the production of sparkling wine base wines, expressing elegance, freshness and a distinctive interpretation of the territory.

The management of the vineyard rows and grass cover is still carried out through animal traction, using horses: a choice that prevents soil compaction, safeguards microbial life and preserves the silent harmony of this unique place.
