Restivo Wine, north-western slope of Mount Etna.

The Restivo Wine estate is located on the north-western slope of Mount Etna.
An area historically suited to the production of high-quality wines with a strong personality.

It is from here, from the passion born of the encounter with the land, the volcano, and the lava, that the Restivo Wine project comes to life.

Restivo Wine was founded in 2019 by Francesco Restivo Graci, the fourth generation of a family of jewelers.

The estate extends along the northern slope of Mount Etna, in the territory of Castiglione di Sicilia, at an altitude of 600 meters.

The vineyards, protected to the north by the Nebrodi Mountains and to the south by Mount Etna, benefit from an ideal microclimate in mineral-rich soils.

Restivo Wine covers an area of 56 hectares, most of which in Contrada Arcurìa, with the remainder distributed among other contrade, all with a strong winemaking vocation.

The vineyards currently in production, some of them historic, extend over 26 hectares, with a further 14 hectares to be added in the future, reaching a total of 40 hectares under vine.

The vines are divided between bush-trained systems with 8,000 vines per hectare and
trellised systems with 5,500 vines per hectare.

60% of the production is red grapes, mainly Nerello Mascalese with a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio and Pinot Noir. The remaining production, of white grapes, is divided between Carricante and Catarratto.
